HMM…DO I NEED A SECOND PHOTOGRAPHER?

An additional photographer is included in a few of our wedding packages, and can be added to any wedding package that doesn’t. Among other benefits, a second photographer is helpful and sometimes necessary for logistical and creative reasons.

An example of when a second photographer can be utilized for logistical reasons is during the pre-ceremony pictures. If one photographer is with one partner at their getting ready location, the second photographer can be with the other partner at their getting ready location.

It also ensures that a photographer is with each partner at all times, and it won’t be necessary for one photographer to have to leave for a long period of time to photograph the other partner.

Another logistical example, is that the second photographer can capture the cocktail hour and reception details before guests arrive, while the main photographer is out photographing family groupings and the couple after the ceremony.

It is also a useful tool for tightening the pre-ceremony picture timeline. One partner, along with their side of the wedding party and family can be photographed before the ceremony with one photographer, while at the same time, the other partner along with their side of the wedding party and family is being photographed by the other photographer.

Creative examples are that the second photographer can capture additional angles and different perspectives at the ceremony. For instance, a second photographer can capture a parent crying from the front of the ceremony, as the main photographer is in the back of the ceremony capturing the must have big kiss.

These are just some of the examples of instances of how a second photographer can be beneficial at your wedding.
